BOB and why I love Munich.

...because going to spots like this awesome Lake-"Tegernsee" only takes around 30 min!
Get 5 friends, 5€ each and hop on one of the comfortable quiet BOB-trains. Whether it's hiking the Alps or just taking a boat ride on a quiet mountain lake.
The ability to quickly and easily switch between relaxing mode and the cozyness of the countryside while still beeing able to enjoy the nightlife and culture of true city. A whole new world within train distance.

However during the stress of day-to-day-life many people, including me, forget about that: We line up at overcrowded Starbucks, or spend thousands of €€€ on holidays to exotic countries where we think we can finally find our badly needed 'time out.' In most cases though just jumping on that thirty-minute train would do the same (if not even a better) job!

Exploiting this chance more frequently is part of my little plans for 2010. I'm sure Munich is not the only city with those hidden treasures in front of you doorstep ;-)
