Internet of Things ahoi: Smart Wallets Get Harder To Open As You Spend More (HT @PopWuping)

Concepts like that are showing us, how an item as simple as a wallet can gain 'intelligence' once it is connected and fed with the right sets of data. Exciting times ahead- Although I am unsure, if I really want such a constant reminder of my shrinking budget right in my pocket :)

Exciting: Dan Hill on his vision of the "New Soft City" #internetofthings

Developments like this make me so optimistic that problems like global warming will be fixed on time simple by the simple genius of human inventiveness..
